National Agency for Investment Development ( A.N.D.I )

Investment accompaniment constitutes an essential objective of the public authorities.
The ANDI – National Agency for Investment Development – was created in 2001 to meet this objective.
 
Under the control and orientation of the minister in charge of investment promotion, the
ANDI carries out its tasks in seven main areas:

• Information: welcome and inform the investors. 
  
• Facilitation: identify the restrictions impeding the investments and propose organisational and regulatory measures to rectify this.
  
• Investment promotion: promote the general investment environment in Algeria, improve and consolidate Algeria's brand image abroad.
  
• Assistance: advise and assist the investors with other administrations when carrying out their projects.
  
• Participation in management of the economic property: inform the investors of the availability of mortgaged property and ensure the management of the property portfolio.
  
• Management of benefits: verify the declared investments’ eligibility for benefits, contribute to the identification of projects posing a particular interest for the national economy and participate in the negotiation of benefits to be granted to these projects.
• Monitoring: ensure an observation, statistics and listening service regarding the progress status of the registered projects

To benefit the institutional restructuring conducted in October 2006, ANDI’s tasks in the areas of facilitation, promotion, information and assistance have been reinforced.
Conversely, its tasks related to management of benefits have been reduced.

The GUDs constitute the investors’ special contact persons. 
Through these, the ANDI helps investors to form their company and start up their project.
