Since 1997, national metrology day is held every year on 30 September. Its main aim is
to promote and popularise legal metrology activities in Algeria.

The organisation and co-ordination of all demonstrations on this day are the responsibility of the National Office for Legal Metrology (ONML).

National standardisation day
 
National standardisation day is held every year on 19 December. Organised by the Algerian Institute for Standardisation (IANOR), the twelfth day was held on Tuesday 18 December 2007 at the El Aurassi hotel with the theme “Standards and compliance assessment: serving road security”.

National innovation day

National innovation day is held every year on 7 December.
The organisation and co-ordination of all demonstrations on this day are the responsibility of the body in charge of industrial property (INAPI).
